From the 12th chapter of Exodus and the 53rd chapter of Isaiah, Gideon Levytam points to the ninth prophecy in the Hebrew Scriptures concerning the promise of the coming of the Messiah. Israel’s promised Messiah - הַמָּשִׁיחַ, would enter this world as a babe born to a virgin, becoming flesh, a sinless man, who would become a sacrifice for the sin of the world. During Israel’s history many animals had been sacrificed, according to the Word of the LORD, in order to make an atonement for the children of Israel. God promised that He would send the Messiah, who would become THE Lamb of God, and that He would not only atone for sins, but remove them completely. Throughout scripture, the servant of the LORD is presented in His humility, His meekness and submission, as fulfilled in the person of Yeshua the Messiah. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before his shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. Isaiah 53:7. In John 1:29 we read, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which take away the sin of the world." הִנֵּה שֵׂה הָאֱלֹהִים הַנֹּשֵׂא אֶת־חַטַּאת הָעוֹלָם.
